At the Horizon Europe Annual Conference, held on 6 May 2026 in Zagreb, Dr. Koraljka Kuzman Šlogar, researcher at the Institute of Ethnology and Folklore Research and national coordinator of DARIAH-HR, also took part.

This year’s conference, titled “European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures (ESFRI) and Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Through Time: The Future of the European Research Area”, gathered more than 260 participants from the scientific, public and business sectors and opened discussions on the future of European research infrastructures, international collaboration and the development of research careers.

Koraljka Kuzman Šlogar participated in the first panel dedicated to the benefits and future of participation in research and technological infrastructures, together with representatives of the Ministry of Science, Education and Youth (Dr. Hrvoje Meštrić), the Ruđer Bošković Institute (Dr. Vuko Brigljević) and the University of Rijeka (Prof. Marin Karuza). The discussion highlighted the importance of Croatia’s participation in European research infrastructures, which provide Croatian researchers with access to international collaboration networks, state-of-the-art equipment and new research opportunities.

More information about the conference and the programme is available on the Horizon Europe website.
