On Thursday, 21 May 2026, the Institute of Ethnology and Folklore Research organised and hosted a multiplier event as part of the Erasmus+ project DigiArcheoSpace – Modern Tools for Documenting and Presenting Cultural Heritage in Archaeology, in which the Institute participates as one of the six project partners.

The event, organised as a seminar and workshop entitled “DigiArcheoSpace: Contemporary Tools and Approaches to Documenting and Presenting Cultural Heritage”, brought together researchers, educators, students, and professionals working in archaeology, ethnology, cultural anthropology, art history, museology, archival studies, librarianship, cultural heritage, and digital humanities.

The event was opened with welcome remarks by the Director of the Institute for Ethnology and Folklore Research, Iva Niemčić, and by Koraljka Kuzman Šlogar, Head of project activities for the IEF partner institution.

Project team members Mihaela Blagaić Kišiček, Koraljka Kuzman Šlogar, Bojan Mucko, and Ivana Štokov presented the project’s aims and outcomes, educational materials and micro-credentials, the project’s Learning Management System (LMS) platform, a practical guide to contemporary digital tools in archaeology, and educational films developed within the project.

During the practical workshop session, participants registered on the LMS platform and explored the available educational content, while also exchanging experiences and discussing the potential of digital tools for researching and presenting cultural heritage.

All educational materials are available in English as well as in the languages of the project partners — Bulgarian, Croatian, Macedonian, and Turkish.

We would like to thank everyone who attended and contributed to the event. Those who were unable to participate are invited to visit the DigiArcheoSpace project website and explore the available educational materials and project outputs.
