Gordana Vnuk, graduated in Comparative Literature and English Language and Literature from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb. She earned her Master's degree at the Université de Bourgogne in France.

As a member of the theatre group Coccolemocco, she participated in the organization of Young People's Theatre Days, an international festival presented by the group in Zagreb during the 1970s and in Dubrovnik during the 1980s.

From 1987 to 2013, Founder and Artistic Director of Eurokaz Festival (Zagreb, HR).

From 1996 to 1999, Theatre Programmer at Chapter Arts Centre in Cardiff, Wales (UK).

From 2001 to 2007, Artistic Director and General Manager of Kampnagel International Centre for Performing Arts in Hamburg, Germany.

From 2010 to 2019, Lecturer at the Academy of Dramatic Art, University of Zagreb.

From 2017 to 2019, member of the Programme Council of ITTA for Yue Opera Town in Shengzhou, China.

She has worked as a dramaturge on theatre projects in Croatia and internationally. She is also the author of numerous theatre reviews and theoretical writings on theatre, published in journals and daily newspapers in Croatia and abroad. Since 1988, she has been a member of the Croatian Association of Dramatic Artists (HDDU) as a dramaturge.

In 2013, she was awarded the title of Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters (Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres) by the French Ministry of Culture and Communication.
