Darjan Godić

Darjan Godić was born in June 1982 in Slavonski Brod, where he completed primary and secondary school. In December 2008 he earned a degree as a professor of history at the Department of History of Croatian Studies, University of Zagreb. Since December 2011 he has been employed as a research trainee/assistant at the Croatian Institute of History on the research project The Republic of Croatia and the Homeland War (1991–1995–2000). From 2013 to 2015 he worked as a research associate on the project The Croatian Homeland War: Structures of Memory, jointly carried out by the Croatian Institute of History and the Ivo Pilar Institute of Social Sciences. Since 2016 he has served as secretary of the Journal of Contemporary History, published by the Croatian Institute of History. He defended his doctoral dissertation, The Armed Forces of the Rebel Serbs in the Lika Region, 1990–1995, under the supervision of Davor Marijan, PhD, in November 2017 at the Department of History of Croatian Studies, University of Zagreb. In early 2020 he became a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Contemporary History.
