ICARUS Croatia

ICARUS Croatia is a non-profit association dedicated to researching historical heritage, promoting access to archival sources through new information technologies, and developing inter-institutional and international cooperation in the fields of cultural, scientific, and professional activities.

Our activities are focused on professional work and public programs – portals and platforms, workshops, lectures, and expert conferences related to the promotion of historical and cultural research, the openness of archives and accessibility of written heritage, the presentation of archival and heritage projects and initiatives, as well as networking with the international professional community.

ICARUS Croatia is a member of the ICARUS, TMO, and DARIAH consortia and participates in their projects and activities. It is also an active partner and collaborator in several international projects (Creative Europe, Erasmus+) and initiatives (AERI, APEF, Europeana).

In addition to project-based and regular activities, ICARUS Croatia actively participates in collaborative digital platforms (Topoteka, Znameniti.hr, PričeIzArhiva, etc.) and publishes the journal @rhivi as well as various professional publications.
