5th DARIAH-HR International Conference “Digital Humanities & Heritage” – registration open

From 22 to 24 October 2025, the 5th DARIAH-HR Conference “Digital Humanities & Heritage” will be held in Osijek, organised by the Institute of Ethnology and Folklore Research / DARIAH-HR, the Academy of Arts and Culture in Osijek, and the Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences Osijek. Under the theme Rethinking Heritage across STEM, Humanities, and Arts, the conference seeks to foster dialogue between diverse disciplines and create space for critical reflection on the role of digital technologies in cultural heritage, research practices, and artistic creation.

The programme features more than 80 participants, across four workshops, two plenary sessions, five thematic sessions with 22 presentations, one panel – “Vitis disciplinis intertexta”, and a poster session presenting 20 posters. We are pleased to announce the plenary lectures by Ines Vodopivec (AI4LAM – Artificial Intelligence for Libraries, Archives and Museums; Management Board, Europeana Network Association) and Marinos Ioannides (UNESCO Chair on Digital Cultural Heritage, Cyprus University of Technology).

In addition to the scientific programme (which will take place at several locations in Osijek), we have prepared special events for conference participants:

• Visit to the Vučedol Culture Museum (Vukovar), including the promotion of the DARIAH South-East European Hub and the promotion of the DHH proceedings
• Visit to the Vina Belje Wine Cellar (Kneževi Vinogradi), accompanied by the panel Vitis disciplinis intertexta: Wine at the Crossroads of Science, Heritage and the Arts
• Social dinner (self-paid) at the restaurant Slavonska kuća (Osijek) – advance registration required

Free bus transport will be provided for all scheduled activities.
