Iva Rosanda Žigo

Iva Rosanda Žigo was born in 1978 in Rijeka, Croatia. She earned her PhD at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb. She began her academic career as an assistant at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Rijeka, where she also served as the Head of the Center for Electronic Publishing. In 2015, she joined the University North, where she currently works as a full professor, teaching courses in journalism, performance and stage communication, media theory, cultural theory, and semiotics. She is the author of five books and numerous scholarly and professional papers published in international journals and conference proceedings. She is the Head of the Department of Media and Communication and the Director of the Doctoral Study Programme Media and Communication at University North. She currently also serves as the Head of the Department for Public Relations at the same university. Her research interests include media theory, communication studies, digital transformation of education, and digital humanities.
