The Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts is the highest Croatian scientific and artistic institution, whose main tasks are to promote and organize scientific research with the commitment to apply the achieved results; the development of artistic and cultural activities and care for the Croatian cultural heritage and its affirmation throughout the world; publishing the results of scientific research and artistic creation; giving proposals and opinions on the promotion of sciences and arts in the fields which are of special importance to the Republic of Croatia. The Croatian Academy's scientific and artistic activities are carried out through its nine departments, as well as through its scientific councils and committees, and scientific and research units (institutes).

Digital Collection of Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts - DiZbi.HAZU

The collection contains digitized material from 15 Academy’s research units, museum-gallery units and the Academy Library. It was founded in 2009 as a unique Academy's digital repository, which will present at the same address the Academy's scientific and art collections, enabling open and free online access with modern and standardized development of technical support. DiZbi.HAZU currently comprises materials in the following original formats: books, journals, cast sheets, manuscripts, microfilms, music, photographs, plaster casts, medals and plaques, paintings, architectural plans and models, video.
